In a couple of months, unu will be launching a new electric scooter model. To coincide with this upcoming launch, we’re changing the name of our current scooter model to unu Scooter Classic – both to celebrate its classic design as well as its importance to our overall vision, as it was the first product in our product generation plan.

With this new scooter model we’re taking the next step in our plan to create the ideal vehicle for life in the city and launching a networked electric scooter that can be used for mobility services. For now, that’s all we can tell you, but if you’d like to stay up to date on the upcoming launch be sure to follow our social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linkedin) for more news and announcements soon.

With the new launch, we’ll also be slowly phasing out the unu Scooter Classic in the coming months to make way for our new scooter model – therefore the unu Scooter Classic will only be available in limited capacities and for a limited time.

How long will the service be maintained for the unu Scooter Classic?
We've planned to have spare parts available for at least the next five years. Our service network and partners will virtually always be able to maintain the unu Scooter Classic. If you experience any damages, difficulties or problems with your scooter, you can always contact us via support@unumotors.com for assistance – please make sure to describe your issue in as much detail as possible. Alternatively, you can go to your nearest garage which you can find on our Garage Locator.

Can I cancel my unu Scooter Classic order and choose the unu Scooter Model 2019?
This depends on the status of your delivery. If your order is still pending delivery, please get in touch with our Customer Advocacy team as soon as possible to cancel it. If your unu Scooter Classic has already been delivered, you have a period of 14 days to contact our Customer Advocacy team to return your scooter. Please note that the unu Scooter (Model 2019) will most likely not be delivered before late summer this year. Read our Terms & Conditions to find out more about our Returns Policy.

Is it possible to switch an order from the unu Scooter Classic to the new model and pay the difference?
We won't provide a model switching option. If your order of the unu Scooter Classic is still pending delivery, please get in touch with our Customer Advocacy team as soon as possible to cancel your order. If your scooter has already been delivered, you have a period of 14 days to contact our Customer Advocacy team to return your scooter. Please note that the unu Scooter (Model 2019) will most likely not be delivered by the end of the season. Read our Terms & Conditions to find out more about our Returns Policy.

Why are you not still producing the unu Scooter Classic alongside the unu Scooter (Model 2019)?
We like to keep it simple. Our aim is to create the ideal vehicles for life in the city – and to do so, we want to have one single product per vehicle category. The new unu Scooter is the next step in our product generation plan and will therefore replace the unu Scooter Classic in the scooter category.

How will I be able to buy an extra battery/ spare parts for the unu Scooter Classic in the future?
We've planned to have spare parts available for at least the next five years. Our service network and partners will virtually always be able to maintain the unu Scooter Classic. Can I still test the unu Scooter Classic?
Yes, but only for a limited time. As we only have a limited amount of units of the unu Scooter Classic left, you'll be able to test the scooter while supplies last.

Does this have an impact on my warranty?
The phasing out of the unu Scooter Classic has no impact on its warranty. Both your scooter and its battery are placed under a two year guarantee. This guarantee is subject to conditions, including but not limited to the due performance of a yearly inspection. The guarantee starts from the day of delivery of your scooter.

Will you take back my unu Scooter Classic if I want to purchase the unu Scooter (Model 2019)?
Once your unu Scooter Classic has been delivered, you have a period of 14 days to contact our Customer Advocacy team to return your scooter. Read our Terms & Conditions to find out more about our Returns Policy. If you've already had your unu Scooter Classic for a longer time, we unfortunately won't be able to trade it in for the new model.

I want to sell my unu Scooter Classic, how can I calculate its value?
The value of your scooter fluctuates depending on many factors: The scooter model, mileage, general condition, warranty validity, accessories and trims can all affect the value of your scooter. Furthermore, demand may fluctuate depending on the region you're in as well as the season you plan to sell. Keep in mind that generally the overall demand for electric vehicles is high.

I just placed an order for an unu Scooter Classic. Is it still available?
Yes! All paid orders aren't affected by the phasing out of the unu Scooter Classic. If your order is fully paid already, you'll still receive your scooter. We're informing you ahead of time so that you can make your decision with all the information available.

Can i still use my old battery for the new scooter? Are some of the parts of the unu Scooter Classic compatible with the new unu Scooter?
The unu Scooter (model 2019) will feature a brand new design, therefore it will not be compatible with the components of the unu Scooter Classic.

I wanted to buy a specific color/motor combination. It's currently out of stock in the shop. Will it come back in stock?
No – the stock levels displayed on the configurator are showing the very last units of the unu Scooter Classic series that have been produced. Unfortunately, if your favorite color combination is out of stock, it won't come back in stock again.

When will the new product be launched?

What features will the new model have?

How much will the new model cost?
We're currently working on the pricing of the new unu Scooter. However, please note that the price of the new model will be higher than that of the current model.

Can I test drive the new unu Scooter?

How long will I still be able to buy the unu Scooter Classic?
You'll be able to buy the unu Scooter Classic while supply lasts.

Can a referral code for the unu Scooter Classic be used for the unu Scooter (model 2019)?
Yes, you can, but it needs to be compliant with the Terms & Conditions of the referral program.
